CELEBRATING NOOR-JANNAH’S REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT
We are proud to share and celebrate a wonderful achievement from one of our very own Nizami mentees.
A heartfelt congratulations to Noor-Jannah, mentee of Zahr-ul-Deen Majlis, under the mentorship of Sr. Maryam Aazam, for earning second place at the Woodcreek Speech and Debate Tournament in Oral Program Interpretation.
Her powerful theme, “Not Staying Silent in the Face of Injustice,” was both timely and deeply moving. Noor-Jannah thoughtfully wove together a compelling performance using Mahmoud Darwish’s poem “I Have a Seat at the Abandoned Theater,” Hend Salama’s “My Generation Will Rebuild Gaza,” and the moving piece “Speechless” performed by Naomi Scott from the live-action Aladdin.
Her voice, courage, and ability to use words as a means of standing for justice reflect not only exceptional talent, but also the confidence, critical thinking, and moral clarity we strive to nurture in our Nizami youth.
We are incredibly proud of Noor-Jannah for representing herself, her majlis, and the values of our community with such excellence and poise. May Allah continue to bless her with confidence, wisdom, and success in all her future endeavors.
Mabrook on this outstanding achievement, Noor-Jannah!
